The Tolerance Induction Program™(TIP) is available for qualifying patients between the age of 18 months – 25 years old.
We welcome virtually all food allergy cases. Though the average treatment length may be longer for patients with comorbidities or pre-existing conditions, this does not prevent a child from being a candidate for TIP.
This includes patients with severe and multiple food allergies and pre-existing conditions.
Average program costs are $1,100 monthly for the duration of the program. This cost may vary depending on your specific insurance.

The average duration of treatment is approximately 2.5 – 4 years, but the specific time frame varies by individual and their level of compliance within the program.
The duration of the Tolerance Induction Program™ (TIP) varies based on the individual’s immune system, and the type and total number of allergens. TIP treats all allergens simultaneously, meaning if a child is allergic to five foods, they will undergo TIP while openly consuming all five foods. The advanced diagnostic testing, aided by AI, can identify allergies to specific food proteins, such as seeds or fish, that patients may not be aware of initially. These additional allergens will also be addressed during the treatment. At the conclusion of TIP, individuals will no longer have to worry about food allergies.
Yes, TIP is the safest, most effective food allergy treatment program available. Unlike exposure therapy (also known as Oral Immunotherapy), which exposes patients directly to foods they are severely allergic to, TIP never begins by introducing patients directly to their allergens. Instead, TIP uses foods similar in structure to an allergen (biosimilar proteins) to retrain the immune system and safely develop tolerance. This method has allowed us to achieve an adverse event rate of less than 1%.
Please submit your registration paperwork and deposit to schedule your initial TIP appointments at one of our Southern California locations. Below is an estimated schedule and description of your first appointments.
- Tele-boarding Call (1-4 weeks):
This visit will be completed via video call with one of our physicians. Our physician will review your child’s current food consumption and medical history and answer your basic questions about the program.
- Onboarding Appointment (8-12 weeks):
Onboarding is the first in-person appointment. This visit includes an interview
process, built on your Tele-Boarding Call results, a physical exam, a skin prick test, and blood tests.
- Launch Appointment (8-12 Weeks):
During your 2-5 day Launch visit, your child will undergo a 24-hour patch test and meet with one of our physicians to review the results and their custom treatment plan based on our analytics. Patients will also complete their first Food Challenge at this visit.
- Food Challenge Appointment:
A food challenge is a monitored office visit during which a patient will consume a large amount of a sensitized allergen, followed by exercise to ensure safe consumption at home. After each challenge, these foods will move into your child’s maintenance plan.
In-person appointments at one of our Southern California locations (Long Beach/Vista) are required throughout treatment. Our program is specifically tailored to meet the needs of families who travel, welcoming patients from different parts of the country to international patients from around the globe.
The number of in-person visits may vary depending on the individual’s custom plan and a patient’s location. However, patients typically visit our clinic four to six times a year. See an estimated appointment cycle based on your location below:
- Zone 1 (Pacific + Mountain Time Zone + Arizona): Every 6- 8 weeks for 1 – 2 days of appointments.
- Zone 2 (Central + East Time Zone + Alaska + Hawaii): Every 10 – 12 weeks for 2-3 days of appointments
- Zone 3 (International) : Every 12 – 14 weeks for 3-5 days of appointments
