SnackSafely.com is issuing an advisory for all varieties of Brooklyn Bites, including:

- Brooklyn Bites Cookie Brittle ~ Coco Crispy Rice
- Brooklyn Bites Cookie Brittle ~ Crunchy Choco Pretzel
- Brooklyn Bites Cookie Brittle ~ Double Cocoa Delight
- Brooklyn Bites Cookie Brittle ~ Sunny Chocolatey Sea Salt
- Brooklyn Bites Cookie Brittle ~ White Chocolatey Brownie
We require all 200+ members of our Manufacturer Partnership to maintain accurate information with us regarding their processing of 11 allergens — peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, soy, wheat, fish, crustacean shellfish, sesame, mustard, and gluten — which we in turn use to keep the information provided via our allergy-friendly Guides and Allergence product screening service current.
Brooklyn Bites introduced tree nuts into its facility and failed to report the change to us in accordance with our agreement. As a result, we have terminated their membership in our Manufacturer Partnership and have removed Brooklyn Bites and their products from our Guides and Allergence.
As we can no longer vouch for the veracity of their information provided to us, we urge all consumers with food allergies to contact the company directly to determine whether and how their allergens of concern are processed.

Note that this is not a recall: as far as we know, Brooklyn Bites has not violated the FDA’s allergen disclosure regulations. However, the company has abrogated its allergen reporting responsibilities to us, which are far more stringent than the FDA’s, hence this advisory.
