Mondelēz Global LLC has announced a voluntary recall of its RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches due to the potential for undeclared peanuts. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that some individually wrapped packages within the affected cartons may be incorrectly labeled as the Cheese variety, despite containing the peanut butter product.
This recall is being conducted out of an abundance of caution, as consumption of the mislabeled product poses a risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions for individuals with a peanut allergy or severe sensitivity. The company reports that there have been no confirmed reports of injury or illness related to this issue to date.

Consumer Action
Consumers who have a peanut allergy or who are sensitive to peanuts are strongly advised not to eat the product and should immediately discard any cartons matching the affected Best When Used By Dates and UPC code.
