While you were lounging with your bare feet in the grass and a cool drink in your hand, we were hard at work vetting new products and welcoming new members to our Manufacturer Partnership!
The Safe Snack Guide is our catalog of over 1200 foods, all free of peanuts and tree nuts with hundreds free of the Top 8 allergens. The Guide is used by thousands of schools and tens of thousands of parents nationwide to help keep allergens out of the classroom and the home.
Allergence is our interactive service that shows you precisely how these products are manufactured with respect to the 11 allergens we track: the Top 8 (peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, soy, wheat, fish, crustacean shellfish) as well as sesame, mustard, and gluten. All allergen information is provided directly by our partner manufacturers, never from the label.
Aside from many new additions from our existing partners, we’ve introduced products from three members new to our Manufacturer Partnership. Please welcome:
- Rich’s Ice Cream – Founded in 1910, Rich’s features many of the ice cream classics you remember from your childhood, including bars, cones, pops, cups, and ice cream sandwiches. The company also boasts the one of the largest and longest running “Smart Snacks in School” program in the country.
- Corso’s Cookies – The largest manufacturer of decorated cookies in North America, Corso’s specializes in treats for every occasion delivered in beautiful gift boxes, cookie bouquets, and favor packs for your celebration. Their buttery shortbread cookies are made with high-quality ingredients and baked fresh every day. Each is made in the USA and hand-decorated by one of their icing artists with their tasty royal icing.
- Safe Sweets – a family owned business located in Cleveland, Ohio, that makes delicious, allergy-friendly chocolates. All of their products are handmade and hand-packaged in their dedicated nut-free and dairy-free facility and most are free of the top 12 allergens.
