World’s First Gluten-Free Fast Food Chain to Open in January

PowerSoul Cafe — which bills itself as “the world’s first gluten-free fast food chain” — will open its doors in two Las Vegas locations on January 19.

The new entrant to the fast food segment will offer healthy fast food 24 hours a day.

The menu will include over 30 varieties of smoothies, personal pizzas made with gluten-free wheat starch, and vegan options, including vegan chicken strips and a breakfast sandwich made with vegan spicy breakfast sausage.

Ordering will be available via their website as well as PowerSoul Cafe’s “Discover My Power” app, which will allow consumers to filter menu options and receive recommendations based on individual dietary goals, flavor preferences, and food allergies.

According to KVVU-TV Las Vegas, the flagship location will feature an “AI drive-thru solution,” a walk-up window, and self-serve pickup lockers. It’s not clear how AI (Artificial Intelligence) will be employed at the location.

Said founder and owner Dina Mitchell: “Cheers to my investors, supporters, vendors, and team: we did this – we’re officially opening! Now, Las Vegans and those who visit our great city will be the first to see what I have been working on for the last two years and experience our mouthwatering smoothies and healthy, delicious fast food while experiencing the Powerful and Soulful culture we’re bringing to life.”

Mitchell, who popularized the Tropical Smoothie Cafe chain on the West Coast, told What Now Las Vegas last June she is aiming to open 100 PowerSoul locations in the first five years.

For the first week, PowerSoul Cafe will offer free food and smoothies to customers who donate $1 or more to Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, and one location will offer free wheat allergy testing on select dates in partnership with Summit Integrated Health.
