WEVV-TV published a report about a woman who was pulled over by Madisonville, KY police this morning.
MPD said Ms Susan Hudson, 51, seemed very nervous during the stop and had reached into her purse, prompting officers to ask her to step out of her vehicle.
After officers asked her consent to be searched, which she agreed to, she then reached into her bra, telling them she was reaching for her EpiPen.
MPD stated they found no identifying information on the EpiPen and that it felt hollow. When they opened the device, they found two bags of methamphetamine inside.
Ms Hudson was subsequently arrested and taken to Hopkins County Jail. She was charged with possession of meth.
We often repeat the mantra, “Take two epinephrine auto-injectors along everywhere, every time,” if you have been diagnosed with a food allergy. After this story, we add that you should discard your auto-injector appropriately after use or expiration and not reuse the device, especially for carrying illicit substances.
