Note to those insured by CVS/Caremark and Aetna
24% of patients and caregivers are covered by Caremark/CVS and Aetna (Aetna bases coverage on Caremark). While many other companies already cover neffy, resulting in lower copays and no paperwork associated with prior authorization, Caremark/CVS has yet to place neffy on their formulary as of this writing.
Summer is the time when children visit their allergists to renew their epinephrine prescriptions for the coming school year. If you were hoping to switch your child from their auto-injector to needle-free neffy, consider contacting your health insurance company or human resources department to express your concerns:

- if neffy is covered by your commercial insurance, you should never pay more than a $25 co-pay by presenting the coupon available here at your participating pharmacy;
- if neffy is not yet covered by your insurance, you should never pay more than $199 out of pocket by presenting the GoodRx coupon at your participating pharmacy;
- if you can’t afford neffy, you may qualify for help from the ARS Patient Assistance Program.
