Unilever Manufacturing (US), Inc., based in Sikeston, MO, has issued a recall for 6,668 cases of its Rocky Road Ice Cream. This recall is due to mislabeled packaging due to undeclared almonds, posing a risk to individuals with tree nut allergies.

The affected ice cream is packaged in a Breyers Chocolate Truffle tub (1.5qt) that states it “may contain tree nuts.” However, the lid is for Breyers Rocky Road Ice Cream, which explicitly lists almonds as an ingredient.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) initiated this ongoing recall on June 2, 2025. Categorized as a Class II recall, the FDA deems the risk of serious health consequences to be low, with temporary or reversible health effects or a slight chance of serious adverse health consequences.
