As you may know, Enjoy Life Foods is one of a handful of inaugural members of our Manufacturer Partnership, now 190+ members strong. As such, we have enjoyed a close relationship with the firm.
In May, news began circulating that the company had decided to close its baking plant in Jeffersonville, Indiana, which it opened to fanfare in 2016.
Since then, rumors have been swirling regarding Enjoy Life, with some fearing the impending demise of the venerable allergy-friendly brand.
Although the company will see a significant restructuring of its business, we can confidently say one of our favorite brands is here to stay after official feedback from the firm.
Reliably Allergy-Friendly
Rest assured, nothing will change regarding Enjoy Life Foods’ commitment to allergen safety.
The company will continue to make products that are certified gluten-free and free from 14 allergens, including wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, casein, soy, egg, sesame, sulfites, lupin, mustard, fish, molluscan and crustacean shellfish.

Changes to Product Offerings
With the closure of its Jeffersonville plant, the company will cease to offer bakery items, including cookies, bars, and ovals. Our contact at the company states the decision to discontinue these lines was not taken lightly, with the company fully understanding that many families enjoyed them (this author’s family included.)
The change in product offerings will allow Enjoy Life Foods to refocus their efforts on chocolate — yes, including the baking chocolate we’ve all come to love — as well as salty snacks, including products like their Lentil Chips line.
In short, the company has changed their focus in keeping with the realities of the marketplace but will continue to be the brand we’ve all come to love and trust.
