Vermont Nut-Free Chocolates — a go-to brand for people with peanut, tree nut, and sesame allergies — is now officially egg-free as well.
Realizing they produced very few items that contained egg as an ingredient, the company announced in January they were transitioning to an entirely egg-free product line. They sold the remainder of their products containing egg over the summer.
Subsequently, they cleaned and sanitized their production kitchens and tested all equipment for traces of egg protein. Once they confirmed their production facility tested entirely egg-free, they started making egg-free versions of their sweets that previously contained egg, all without impacting the taste, texture, or quality of the product.
