Safe Snack Guide – Easter Edition

-

Our ears are up and we’re hopping proud to announce the Easter 2018 Edition of the Safe Snack Guide, our catalog of peanut, tree nut, and Top 8 free foods that’s perfect for family dinners, office parties, and classroom celebrations where these allergens are excluded.

This Edition has an entire section devoted to Easter-themed treats, all of which are made in peanut and tree nut-free facilities, the majority of which are free of the Top 8 allergens.

Need peanut-safe chocolate bunnies? Listed! Want jelly beans to line that basket for a certain someone with milk allergy? Check. Looking for nut-free goodies you can find at your local supermarket? We’ve got ’em, along with our usual lineup of over 1000 allergy-friendly products, many of which are also appropriate for the holiday.

This year, try clicking on any Easter item preceded by a green symbol to see precisely how that product is manufactured with respect to the 11 allergens we track including the Top 8 (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, fish and crustacean shellfish), sesame, mustard, and gluten.

We’re also pleased to introduce you to a new member of our Manufacturer Partnership whose non-food products may come in handy this holiday:

  • The Safe FoodieThe Safe Foodie LogoSafe Foodie Sticks give people with food allergies and intolerances a clear way of identifying the absence of their specific allergen in any meal, baked good or food item. The wooden markers help limit the risk of accidental ingestion by identifying foods that are safe for specific allergies, especially those that are not individually labeled.

To accommodate these new products, we’ve added a new Non-Food category.

On a side note: Our apologies to those of you celebrating Passover: we were unable to find suitable products that are kosher for the holiday. Please tell us of your finds!
