This article features a resource that provides inspiration and valuable insight to the food allergy community. We pledged to highlight 17 such resources for End Allergies Together's #DoYour17 campaign in 2016 which has since ended. You can still sponsor our effort with a donation. E-A-T underwrites all administrative costs, so 100% of your donation goes toward funding research into a cure for food allergy.

Celiac is serious and requires lifestyle changes, but that doesn’t mean finding safe products and gaining insight into living with the disease can’t be mixed with a heavy dose of humor and a touch of irony.

Erica is the author of “Celiac and the Beast: A Love Story Between a Gluten-Free Girl, Her Genes, and a Broken Digestive Tract”, a real-life, no-holds-barred account of being diagnosed and living life with celiac disease, written in her own inimitable style.

In addition to the book, Erica’s popular blog is aimed at educating the world about celiac disease and the importance of the wonderful “less than 20ppm” universe celiacs live in.

Being a Celiac shouldn’t be hard nor it shouldn’t be a tasteless endeavor. Let Erica find gluten-free products and review them for you, because she knows how difficult it is to live in a world full of wheat and she knows how to make it a bit easier.

You can find Celiac and the Beast and Erica’s insight at celiacandthebeast.com.
