We are pleased to announce three new additions to the SnackSafely.com Manufacturing Partnership whose products have been added to the Safe Snack Guide and Allergence product screening service:
- Back to Nature Foods – A natural and organic food manufacturer that makes a diverse array of products across 7 different food categories including cookies, crackers, granola, cereal, soup and juices. The firm also owns SnackWell’s brand which includes numerous better-for-you cookies and snacks.
- MySuperFoods – The manufacturer of wholesome cookies and snacks declares their purpose is to feed minds and bodies for greater wellness. To be a part of the change of a broken food system. To make ordinary food extraordinary. To make the daily habit of eating more nourishing, delicious and fun. To listen to, support and be a resource to moms and dads who want help feeding their families.
- Premium Chocolatiers – Create the finest dairy free, nut free, and gluten free truffles and gourmet chocolates to indulge chocolate lovers of all types, suitable for those with milk allergy, peanut/tree nut allergy, and egg and gluten allergy and sensitivities. Vegetarians, Vegans, and Lactose Intolerant as well as Kosher Pareve consumers and food allergy sufferers can now enjoy quality milk-like, though dairy free chocolate.
We are also adding a new advisory message to the Safe Snack Guide regarding highly refined coconut oil. While not considered an allergen under FALCPA regulations and while coconut is not biologically a tree nut, we will clearly mark items containing HRCO in the Guide for consideration by those sensitive to coconut. (Please note that we do not list products containing highly refined peanut or tree nut oils in the Safe Snack Guide.)
