FabWoman Site Makes Dangerous Claims in Article Providing 'Homemade Remedies' for Milk Allergy

-

FabWoman, a site that purports to being “dedicated to inspiring millennial women to live better and more beautiful lives” has published an article that provides reckless advice to those suffering from milk allergy.

The article entitled “Are You Allergic To Milk? Get Rid Of That Allergy With These Homemade Remedies” opens with the following correct assertion:

Milk allergy can be due to a person’s reaction to any of the proteins present in the milk. Sometimes milk allergy can be so dangerous that it causes anaphylaxis, resulting in death.

But then the author does a complete about-face with no concern for her previous statement:

Do you love milk but you can’t take it because of your allergy? Well, we have a solution for you. Milk allergy can be dealt with by using these effective homemade remedies provided in this post. Have a look at them!

The article goes on to assert that ginger, honey, carrot juice, turmeric and vitamin C can all be tried at home to treat milk allergy.

The site’s assertions are reckless and we surmise could only have been made without bothering to consult an allergist.

We remind you:

NEVER try a homemade remedy to treat your food allergy. Seek a qualified medical professional and follow her advice regarding how to cope with the disease.

Please consider contacting FabWoman and urging them to retract their article.
