Yesterday, Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) sponsored a webinar by Dr Brian Vickery entitled: “Oral Immunotherapy: What You Should Know, and What’s New“. The 50-minute presentation is now available online and is highly recommended for those who are considering oral immunotherapy (OIT), a treatment that can significantly improve the quality of life for allergic individuals.
Dr Vickery is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University and Director of the Food Allergy Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. For 12 years he has worked to develop therapies for IgE-mediated food allergy and find evidence-driven treatment strategies that maximize the benefit/risk relationship and improve patient-centered outcomes. Dr. Vickery currently serves as FARE’s Medical Advisor for Patient Experience.
