Media Roundup: The FDA’s Guidance and the Impact on the Food Allergy Community

Given the paucity of concern regarding food allergies in the general public, the food allergy community often lives in a supportive bubble where members receive and offer help and guidance from one another. Sometimes, though, an incident occurs that pierces that bubble. Such happened when the FDA issued guidance relaxing ingredient labeling regulations during Memorial Day Weekend.

We at SnackSafely.com have been working to spread the word regarding the FDA’s misguided action beyond our bubble to the mainstream media in the hope that the general public will understand the ramifications this will have for the safety of our community. So far, we’ve had some success.
