Help Find a Cure for Food Allergy!

-

Dear Readers,

The incidence of food allergy in children is rising at an explosive rate. Now is your opportunity to do something about it: Help find a cure!

After learning our daughter had joined the group of 5.9 million children in the US with food allergy and was at risk for anaphylaxis, we became local advocates and founded SnackSafely.com in the hope that we could help other families in similar situations. Since then, we have been ardent supporters of FAAN in their quest to educate the general public, sponsor legislation, and fund clinical research.

Each fall, FAAN sponsors walks throughout the country to raise funds for their endeavors. This marks the first year our family will be participating as Team SnackSafely.com in the Walk for Food Allergy to be held Sunday, October 21, 2012 at the Duck Pond in Ridgewood, NJ.  All proceeds for the Walk benefit the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network which funds advocacy, awareness and research toward a cure for food allergy.

Whether you are a parent, relative, teacher, coach, troop leader, family friend or acquaintance of a child with food allergy, you can help combat the spiraling incidence of anaphylaxis by making a donation, however big or small. Click here to be taken to FAAN’s secure e-pledge page where you can make your donation (and show your support for SnackSafely.com!) It’s simple, secure and will take just a few minutes of your time.

Together we can find (and fund) a cure!

With sincere appreciation,

Debra & Dave Bloom
