Valentine's Day 2019 Edition of the Safe Snack Guide!

-

No, that’s not indigestion you feel… it’s Cupid’s arrow filling you with love and adoration for your special someone(s)!

And just in time, here is this year’s Valentine’s Edition of the Safe Snack Guide, our extensive catalog of over 1200 allergy-friendly foods used by thousands of schools and tens of thousands of parents nationwide to help keep allergens out of the classroom and the home. All are peanut and tree nut free with many free of the Top 8 allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, soy, wheat, fish and crustacean shellfish.)

This edition has an entire section devoted to allergy-friendly Valentine’s candy, chocolate, cookies and gifts for your sweetie! Many are available at your local supermarket or can be ordered online.

School nurses, teachers and PTA organizations refer parents to the Guide to help them select items that are suitable for classrooms designated peanut and tree nut free or free of any combination of the Top 8 allergens, thus making snack time and party preparation significantly easier. Camps, youth sports leagues, and scouting groups rely on the Guide as well.

With this update, we are also pleased to announce four new members of our Manufacturer Partnership:

  • JonnyPops
    – Delicious frozen pops is their passion, and their delightfully creamy smoothie-on-a-stick is the perfect “taste good, feel good” treat. Made with simple ingredients and absolutely nothing artificial, JonnyPops are truly scrumptious and meant to be shared. Each stick is printed with a good deed because we believe sharing kindness, through actions big and small, helps us achieve our mission of making the world a better place, one pop at a time.
  • Taylor Made Chocolate
    – An artisan chocolate maker using fair trade sourced cacao beans from the country of Haiti. They are a social entrepreneurial company using their profits to help people freed from human trafficking by providing job training so they can begin a new life with ability to earn an income.
  • That’s It
    – A snack company dedicated to simple and easy ingredients made from real fruits, veggies, and dark chocolate. They only use natural, non-GMO fruit and veggies sourced from organic-practicing farms. Their goal is to make eating healthy snacks easy and stress-free. Plus, they don’t add preservatives, colors, or try and trick you by adding sugars and renaming them high-fructose syrup.
  • Nth Degree Snacks
    – A modern take on the ancient alegría recipe, launching with two on-trend flavors: cocoa nibs and matcha. Working with only the highest quality organic and non-GMO ingredients, Nth Degree Snacks are naturally gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, egg-free, and made in a peanut-free facility.

We are sorry to inform you that Nots! Snacks has ceased operations. Also, with this update we say goodbye to Arkk Foods. As they are no longer members of our Manufacturer Partnership, we no longer have insight into their manufacturing practices and can no longer recommend their products.
