Update to Safe Snack Guide: February 10, 2014 – Valentine's Day Edition

Please note that we have updated the contents of the Safe Snack Guide.

We’re pleased to announce that we have added many products by three companies that have joined our SnackSafely.com Manufacturer Partnership Program:

  • Candice Foods – Makers of energy bars free of the top 10 allergens: gluten, casein, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, corn, dairy, soy, shellfish, eggs and sesame. With all natural ingredients, great taste, and several flavors, Candice Foods Energy Bars provide a punch of protein from sunflower seed butter;
  • Gerbs Allergen Friendly Foods – They have been producing gourmet lines of 100% All-Natural, Vegan, Kosher, and Allergen Friendly products since 2006. Each and every batch of their  seeds are harvested freshly each season, and dry roasted (note: raw seeds are not roasted) at low temperatures to ensure they still maintain their essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and Omega fatty acid properties;
  • Tootsie Roll Industries – Launched in 1896 by the popularity of a single product – an oblong piece of chewy, chocolate candy – Tootsie Roll Industries has grown to become one of the country’s largest candy companies, with a lineup that includes some of the world’s most popular candy, chocolate, and bubble gum brands.

You’ll find these products listed in boldface in the Safe Snack Guide to inform you that their manufacturers have disclosed details regarding the processing of 11 allergens directly to us via our proprietary portal.
