It’s #FoodAllergyAwarenessWeek, a great time to gain and spread awareness of the mechanisms behind food allergies regardless of whether you are a sufferer or care for someone who is.

We recommend two videos that together will give you a solid understanding of how individuals develop food allergies and what happens in the body during an allergic reaction.

The first is an explainer from the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), an association of clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals dedicated to improving the health of people affected by allergic diseases.
