While we’re still unable able to find a reliable source of allergy-friendly eye of newt, toe of frog, or wool of bat, we did put together a dungeon full of allergy-friendly treats!
We’re happy to announce this year’s Halloween Editions of the Safe Snack Guide, our extensive catalogs of allergy-friendly foods relied upon by thousands of schools and tens of thousands of families nationwide to help keep allergens out of the classroom and the home.
We’ve dedicated a whole section to Halloween-themed candies and chocolates just in time for trick-or-treating and allergy-friendly celebrations at home and school. (Don’t forget to check out the traditional Candy and Chocolate sections for other ideas.)
If your child has food allergies and goes trick-or-treating, consider purchasing treats you know are safe for them to eat and play “Switch Witch,” where you substitute safe treats for unsafe ones.
The Safe Snack Guide serves those with a variety of dietary restrictions. Our standard Editions include:
But if these don’t meet your family’s specific allergen restrictions, try tailoring your own Custom Guide to meet any combination of the 11 allergens we track: The Top 9 (peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, milk, wheat, soy, fish, crustacean shellfish and sesame), mustard and gluten.
Best of all, when clicked, each entry shows you how precisely how that product is made with regard to shared manufacturing lines and facilities for the allergens we track.
Let’s get started! Click on your Guide of choice:
Note: We NEVER rely on the label to determine whether a product is truly allergy-friendly. We work closely with over 200 partner manufacturers who use our proprietary platform to disclose precisely how the 11 allergens we track are processed during manufacture, including shared line/facility information not required by the FDA and not available anywhere else.
