2021 Halloween Safe Snack Guide in Peanut/Tree Nut, Sesame, Milk and Gluten-Free Editions!

-

Sorry! Though we have yet to find a manufacturer of allergy-friendly eye of newt, toe of frog, or wool of bat, we’ve scoured the pumpkin patch and found a cauldron-full of allergy-friendly treats!

We’re happy to announce the publication of this year’s Halloween Editions of the Safe Snack Guide, our extensive catalogs of allergy-friendly foods relied upon by thousands of schools and tens of thousands of families nationwide to help keep allergens out of the classroom and the home.

We say “Editions” because the Safe Snack Guide is now a family of guides to serve those with a variety of dietary restrictions. Joining our traditional Peanut & Tree Nut Free guide this year, you’ll also find our Milk (Dairy) FreeSesame Free, and Gluten Free guides to help you find products that meet your family’s specific allergen restrictions. (And if your family is juggling a number of allergen restrictions, try tailoring your own Custom guide to meet any combination of 11 allergens.)

As we do every year, we’ve dedicated a whole section to Halloween-themed candies and chocolates just in time for trick-or-treat and allergy-friendly celebrations at home and school. We’ve also included some non-food ideas for those participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project, including links to free Halloween resources at FARE.

Each guide is interactive: click any entry with a green symbol to see precisely how that product is manufactured with respect to the 11 allergens we track (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, soy, wheat, fish, crustacean shellfish, sesame, mustard, and gluten) including shared line/facility information you won’t find on the label or anywhere else, as well as links to the product’s store finder, website and Amazon page.
